Remington Reports Five Million Bottles Sold
New Cholesterol Control Product to Launch This Month

FORT WORTH, TexasRemington Health Products, LLC, announced today that it has now sold more than five million bottles of its two lines of liquid supplements, Drinkables® and Liquid Naturals® -- among the first liquid supplements to be made available to consumers outside of the health food store.

The liquid supplements combine high levels of nutrients with a more convenient and effective method of delivery.  Drinkables® Liquid Supplements can be purchased in leading grocery stores, drug stores and mass merchandisers and Liquid Naturals® are available exclusively at Sam’s Wholesale Club stores.

“This is a very meaningful benchmark for all of us at Remington Health Products,” said George Steele, the company’s CEO.  “We’re extremely proud of our liquid supplements and how quickly they have been adopted by the public since we launched the first Drinkables® product in 1996.  Years of research went into development, and the more we learned about the benefits of liquid supplements, the more convinced we were that we’d found a better way to get the nutrients our bodies needed on a daily basis.”

Steele chalks a large part of the Remington’s success with liquid supplements to the bioavailability the products offer their users.  Bioavailability measures the rate at which an agent reaches its targets within the body.  Pills and tablets have lower bioavailability than liquids because they may fail to fully dissolve.  In addition, solid supplements often need to be specially coated to protect your stomach.  That coating makes solids more difficult to dissolve and can actually reduce bioavailability in some individuals.  Unlike the quick and even dispersion of gentle liquids such as Drinkables®, tablets and pills may deliver high localized concentrations of active ingredients that can overwhelm the absorption capacity of the intestine.

Basically, they give users an alternative to having to choke down a series of large pills – while providing all or more of the benefits of the pills.

“Every liquid supplement we produce is made up of only the highest-quality ingredients,” said Steele, “and manufactured to the most rigorous standards. Our goal as a company is, and always has been, to help you live a healthier life through better nutrition.  With more than five million bottles having been sold, it’s extremely gratifying to know how many people we’ve helped get or remain healthy.”

What’s next for Remington?

“Our latest liquid supplement, and a product we’re particularly excited about, is Qwell™,” reported Steele.  “We’ve done a tremendous amount of scientific research to help in the battle against cholesterol -- and Qwell™ is the result of all that research.”

Steele said that Qwell™, a liquid supplement made up of ingredients proven to reduce “bad” cholesterol, and boost “good” cholesterol to help prevent heart disease, will launch via the company’s Remington Direct arm later this month.

“Beyond proven effectiveness in lowering ‘bad cholesterol’ levels and raising ‘good cholesterol’ levels, Qwell™ has none of the potentially serious side-effects of statin drugs and is available without a prescription,” said Steele.  “I’m delighted that we will very shortly be adding Qwell™ to our successful track record of Drinkables® products.  Here is an easy, safe, inexpensive and effective way to help balance the numbers – without the side effects and high costs you get with prescription cholesterol medication.”
