Remington Health Products, LLC, Introduces Drinkables®
Absorbable, High Quality Liquid Supplements Enter Consumer Marketplace

FORT WORTH, Texas Consumers will soon have a new choice in nutritional supplements with the introduction of Drinkables® by Remington Health Products, LLC. The first products – Drinkables® Calcium 3, Drinkables® Joint Care and Drinkables® Colloidal Minerals – will appear on grocery store, drug store and mass merchandise retailer shelves in the second quarter of 2002.

Drinkables® are among the first liquid nutritional supplements to be offered in general consumer retail outlets. Their special formulation allows users to ingest high levels of key supplements in single doses that are easy to swallow, highly absorbable and quickly bioavailable. And in some cases, a single dose replaces several tablets required to provide the same level of nutritional supplementation.

“Our supplements are also designed to offer more than the mere minimum requirements,” points out William Steele IV, president of Remington Health Products, LLC. “For example, we have combined three types of calcium to take advantage of the benefits offered by each. Drinkables® Calcium 3 also provides the recommended daily intake of Vitamin D, Vitamin K, zinc and sodium borate – all of which either may help cartilage and bones or add to the product’s absorbability and bioavailability.”*

He adds that Drinkables® Joint Care not only includes glucosamine HCl and chondroitin sulfate, but also MSM (methylsulfonylmethane) and collagen which have shown possible benefits for in supporting normal cartilage. It is also enhanced with Vitamin C, which can help speed absorption.

“And a single dose of Drinkables® Joint Care offers 500 mg more glucosamine than the minimum daily recommendations. We believe the higher levels of the supplement will add to its ability to reach joints quickly and effectively*,” Steele adds.

He says the liquid formulation means consumers are not forced to take their supplements with liquids or food to ensure they are fully absorbed. And the risk of gastric distress may also be diminished as a result of the liquid product.

“The absorbability and bioavailability are also high,” Steele points out. “With a liquid, the supplement can move directly from the stomach into the bloodstream and on to key tissues and organs.”

Drinkables® products will be competitively priced with other products offering the same supplements in solid form.

Remington Health Products, LLC, was founded in 1996. Its first product was a liquid colloidal minerals supplement, which quickly moved into Sam’s Wholesale Clubs on a control label.

“The rapid success of this first product made us realize there was an even broader marketplace for liquid supplements,” says Steele. “Consumers intuitively saw the bioavailability and absorbability benefits in the liquids. And they were becoming accustomed to using liquid nutritional weight loss and energy enhancement products.

“So we moved to the next step – developing liquid calcium and joint care supplements. Not only did we have an opportunity to create new products, but we saw a way to make them more available to the mass market by placing them in grocery stores, drug stores and mass merchandise retail outlets.”

From the time the company moved into the nutritional supplement market, its founders worked with food technologists as well as research and development laboratories. The resulting Drinkables® are complex liquids that combine the most beneficial amounts of supplements in each dose, while offering a pleasing taste and a convenient delivery method. The company continues to conduct research and development, looking at additional products to fill the niche in the liquid supplements market while seeking ways to make Drinkables® even more useful and convenient.
