STUDIO CITY, CA (October 3, 2005) Jonathon Prince, a 25-year-old “breath of fresh air,” set off this morning on a historic Run 4 Relief across the United States to help raise

awareness and money for the victims affected by Hurricane Katrina. His long-distance, ultra-marathon run began in Studio City, Calif. and will conclude in Atlanta, Georgia.

Prince, a self-proclaimed “dream chaser”, plans to average roughly 15-20 miles per day, with morning, afternoon and early-evening runs filling his day. He will rest on Sundays as well as on any days when weather forces him to seek shelter.

Barring any unforeseen circumstances, Prince will complete his nearly 2,600-mile run in approximately five months. The cross-country journey will see him run through the Southwest U.S., then to the Hurricane-ravaged Gulf Coast, visiting storm victims at many of the pre-designated shelters along his route. He will complete his run by stepping foot at the home of his alma mater, Clark Atlanta University in Atlanta.

Individuals wishing to make a donation in the name of Run 4 Relief can do so by visiting www.Run4Relief.org. All proceeds from the website will go directly to Habitat for Humanity, in support of their efforts to rebuild homes for Hurricane Katrina victims, and will not be used to benefit Prince in any manner.

“This is not about me,” claims Prince. “I truly want to do something for the American people in Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama. They have suffered a terrible tragedy. We are put on this Earth to be the change we want to see in the world, and this is my way of doing my part and being part of that change. Everyone one I speak to wants to do “more” to help, but no one wants to be first, so here I am. I will show everyone that, with a little determination and a lot of heart, great things can be accomplished.”

Prince will be pushing a jogging stroller to keep essential items (i.e., food, water) and several changes of clothes. In an effort to complete his journey, he is urging individuals and corporate America to get involved to help offset his daily expenses.

One company that has already stepped to the forefront for this worthy cause is Drinkables, a liquid vitamin supplement company. They are supplying Prince with a variety of their product line, most notably Multi-Vitamin and Joint Care, as well as a cash donation. “We are extremely honored to help Jonathon achieve his goal of running across the country,” said Bill Steele, president of Remington Health Products, Inc., makers of Drinkables. “What he is doing is simply one of the most compelling and noble things I’ve ever seen in my entire life. We are proud to be associated with this prince of a man.”

Together, collectively, we can make a difference for our brothers and sisters in need.”
