FAQs
Coral Calcium Questions†
Q: How much calcium does each dose provide? The front of the bottle says 2000mg or 1000mg of coral calcium, but the supplement facts says 381mg. Which is it?
A: Each ½ oz. dose contains 1000mg of coral, which yields 381mg of calcium that the body can use. Taking a total of 1 oz. per day (as 1 dose or 2 smaller ones) will provide 762mg of calcium. The body can only absorb a certain amount of calcium at one time, so we suggest splitting the 1oz. daily dosage into two ½-oz servings (one in the morning and one at night).
Q: Where does the calcium come from?
A: Coral calcium is harvested from parts of coral reefs that are no longer underwater. This ensures no living coral reefs are damaged and that modern pollutants are not contained in the coral. Okinawan coral is thought to contain high concentrations of beneficial nutrients.
Q: How are the minerals processed?
A: Most are processed using water and citric acid chelation. Our sea minerals are processed using micro-filtration. This product does not contain any synthetic minerals.
Q: Why does the product contain vitamin D?
A: Vitamin D aids in calcium absorption, which supports bone growth and maintenance. It is present in fatty and dairy foods and can be synthesized when the body receives adequate sunlight.
